Day One: Cleaning

Atlanta Wood Restoration Company will carefully pressure wash your deck. We will remove smaller items like plants and furniture prior to pressure washing.  Large tables or grills can be moved from side to side, so they will not have to be taken off of the deck, and put back onto the deck later. We do not return for a third time to re arrange or put back the small items we take off the deck. Of course, if possible, it is always appreciated if we have a deck already cleared off to start with.

During the cleaning process we will be sure not to damage your wood, house, or plant life.  Once we are finished we will  rinse off all of the surrounding areas to make sure they are clean and free of pressure washing debris.

Day Two: Loose nails, sanding and sealing

Loose nails: Wood naturally expands and contracts.  This may cause many of your nails to rise above the surface of the wood .   The Atlanta Wood Restoration Company will make sure the nails are properly pounded back in. This assures that we have a smooth surface for sanding, which provides a smoother surface to walk on.

  1. Cleaning in between boards: We will also clean out stubborn debris stuck in between the deck boards. Sometimes we cannot clean all of it out, but we will do our best.
  2. Sanding:  Prior to sealing, we will sand your deck where needed.  Extra attention will be given to the hand rails, but we will also lightly sand the spindles, and floor.
  3. Sealing:  This part of the process sets us far apart from our competitors.  We will hand brush all of the deck/fence/play-set/cabin, in its entirety. Your deck will not be sprayed!!

HANDBRUSHING IS IMPORTANT FOR A FEW REASONS:

ENSURES THAT WE APPLY THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF SEALANT POSSIBLE.
PROVIDES A UNIFORM LOOK THROUGHOUT THE DECK.
YOU WILL NOT HAVE OVERSPRAY ON YOUR HOUSE, CEMENT, ETC.

After sealing your deck, we will wipe it off to make sure the sealant is not applied excessively to any areas, and that your deck will dry properly.

No payment is expected until the job is completed to your satisfaction.
